| Note | One very nice and very rare ALBINO specimen of the only pectinid species found in northern Chile: Argopecten purpuratus. Albino specimens are very rare and are found at a rate of about 1 in 400. I am offering several specimens from the same batch: they were collected alive by a diver at about 20 m depth. They are very selected, as they have some very small deffects and they have natural dorsums (some with more barnacles than others) which were lightly cleaned with only soft brushes and water. I am presenting them all at a very low initial price. |
