| Note | One very nice and rather small specimen of Trochita trochiformis. These snails live on rocks and on the shells of other snail species. They usually have very ugly shells, but the present specimen is rather nice, having a nice dorsum with some erosion in the apex and preserving some of its periostracum, and having an almost perfect septum (lip) with minimal damage (I have seen many specimens online with very broken lips). A low initial price for an interesting and hard to obtain specimen of Trochita trochiformis. |
