| Note | THE BEST EXCEPTIONAL CONDITIONS FOR THE SPECIES WOOOOW!! Outstanding elevated dorsal shape seldom seen and impeccable axial high ribs around between the black-brownish colors on top. The shell contains a very shiny and glossy ventral part with the best brownish spots all around. Impressive masterpiece with little erosion on top but Museum conditions for the species. Outstanding beauty , the best you can get for this mysterious species. These specimens do not live deeper than 5m and are usually found in the intertidal zone, very rarely populations are seen among rocks, perhaps there is some particular algae on which they feed, a mystery still unsolved. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents and waves and seaweeds, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Near Islotes Los Lobos Marinos, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
