NoteOne very nice specimen of the subtidal mytilid Semimytilus patagonicus. This species is seldom found in northern Chile, being apparently more abundant in souther Chile and Magellanic waters. This specimen is in very good condition, with both valves with no damages and retaining its periostracum. A low initial price for an interesting bivalve from the southern seas.
