Hypermature, with pronounced weight and solidity, and well-developed marginal periphery. Exemplary quality for the China Sea form. Now becoming very difficult to obtain, but always very rare at this level of colour and quality. Data: Off Wenzhou, Zhejiang, East China Sea, China; upon sand/gravel substrate; 150-170 m; trawled; 2010. Size: 63.9 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
