| Note | Here is easily one of the MOST ATTRACTIVE examples of this uncommon species of Zoila. A soft CREAM/PINK dorsum has a light covering of sparse, individual spots giving it the classic "Bird Egg" appearance. A much higher dorsum and convex base is a key characteristic is distinguishing this species from the more common "consueta" form found further south. Lovely soft grey margins meet at both end at perfect canal which complete this marvellous specimen. Gem/Gem- with maybe some very soft lines which are always present but mainly precautionary. Live taken from a small, yellow Geodia sp.B sponge on the roof of a small limestone cavern at 34m. 3 Miles North of Rottnest Island, W.A. May 2025 |
