| Note | An EXCEPTIONAL specimen of this rare, almost never offered species, from the ‘old days’ of Panamic availability. Rare quality for this diminutive, ultra-delicate, trawled species, incorporating retention of the ultra-delicate pin-point protoconch, lost upon the majority of examples. Extremely rare retention of original diminutive operculum – very important for the connoisseur. Now obtainable only from choice old collections, and almost never like this. Data: Off Isla Canal de Afuera Island, Coiba, Panama; upon sand/mud substrate; 60-80 m; dredged; 1982. Size: 21.3 mm. Grading: Gem; w/o. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
