| Note | The Muricidae specialist will be familiar with the difficulty in obtaining a very large, high quality specimen of this species, upon account of its extremely delicate varices, and the roughness of its habitat, with the majority of mature specimens exhibiting substantial varical damage. The current specimen is a rare exception, with nothing but sporadic minimal loss. Whorls suffused with delicate apricot – important to the connoisseur. A coveted ‘collector’s item’ like this.
