| Note | This incredible GIANT – approaching the limit for the species – illustrates its maximum extent of development, and is of exceptional quality, with an astonishing level of preservation of the expansive, ultra-delicate varices and elongate siphonal canals. An exceedingly rare shell at this size and quality. Definitely for the Muricidae specialist, or dedicated collector of giant-sized shells. Note: It is useful to retain the name celinamarumai to distinguish this distinct form from the more delicate nominate subspecies. Data: Off Tinina, Balut, Sarangani Islands, Davao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines; upon sand/mud substrate; 100-200 m; tangle nets; 2017. Size: 41.8 mm. Grading: Gem; w/o.
