| Note | For offer here is a SUPERB PAIR of this uncommon volute. The larger shell is of GIANT SIZE for this specimen at over 50mm with the SUPER DARK BROWN colouration in addition to the WONDERFUL QUALITY makes for a supreme specimen. The fresh dead shell still displays wonderfully and is a fantastic shell in its own right. The live shell (larger specimen) is GEM condition with no flaws that I can see and the fresh dead collected specimen is Gem- with some a small amount of roughness to the anterior end. Live and dead taken upon sand substrate at extreme low tide. Sultana Point, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. 2002 |
