| Note | Here is a SUPREME example of this rare sub-species of Zoila. A classic UNIFORM HONEY mottled dorsum is surrounded by INK-BLACK MARGINS which extend onto the base and canals of the shell. A much heavier shell than those collected further north off the 80 Mile beach and along with it being of the HIGHEST QUALITY, it makes for a fantastic specimen. GEM condition with no flaws that I can see. Live taken at the base of a small, orange Axos sponge on the edge of heavy sponge garden at 17m. Dampier Archipelago, W.A. December 2024 |
