| Note | Wonderfully balanced and aesthetic specimen with violet/purple rami and strong/prominent multicolored axial ribs. The symmetry of the short erect structures and the accentuated spreading of the leading and trailing axial structures is admirable. The specimen displays a heavy weight/size ratio (55g). The shell was collected off rocks on a night dive at 10 meters just east of Taiohae Bay, Nuka Hiva, Marquesas in 11/2003 by Scuba diver Paul Kanner. The shell displays a mini-chip in the anterior portion of the siphonal canal and worm trails at the spire/shoulder are. Grade: F++/F+++. |
