| Note | Excellent, elongate and colorful specimen with remarkable features in superb condition for a delicate specimen. The large murex exhibits perfect flutted spines, elegant short varices, exceptional color banding, flawless apex, aperture and siphonal canal. The shell, when viewed directly from the ventral, exhibits complex fluting, gutters, channels and nodular morphology. Collected using tangle net at 150 meters in 1982 off Aliguay Island, Philippines. Acquired from old collection. Grade: GEM. |
