| Note | Impressive display of color, brilliant gloss, banding and china white tenting characterize this beautiful cone from the Andaman Sea. The overall visual impact of the specimen is notable. The combination of form, balance of color and quality is hard to match in any cone species. The central band is composed of a unique tightly grouped array of elegant and distorted white tents, giving it classic appeal for the avid collector. The shell was captured by trawler at 100-120 meters offshore from Phuket Island, Thailand in 2/2015. The specimen has a seamless thick natural lip and shows a subtle growth fold on the spire. Grade: GEM minus. |
