| Note | Exceptionally patterned, heavy specimen with a strong nacre gloss and excellent form. The specimen presents impressive and harmonic longitudinal branched geometric lines, two distinct blotched bands and porcelain white aperture. The shell also features strong axial striae (ribs), a thick natural lip and moderate nacre gloss.The specimen has a flawless spire and body whorl. The kuroharai was captured by local fisherman at Balut Island, Mindanao, Philippines 100-200 meters by tangle net in 3/2024. The shell shows slight erosion of the protoconch and minor body whorl blemishes. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
