Note | Large for the species, moderately heavy, with low gloss and a typical blunted spire. The specimen presents a white/yellowish toned primary body whorl and displays two broad bands of black reticulations with the classic oval white spots leaving a white band circling the entire whorl. Beautiful vivid pattern on this large specimen. The shell was collected by local diver off Ngor, Dakar, Senegal, West Africa and discovered under rocks at 1-2 meters in 10/1976. The shell shows some mild growth body whorl folds and micro-chipping of the anterior lip and notch. Grade: F+++. |
