| Note | Solid, elongate specimen with knobs on the body whorl and shoulder. The flesh-toned specimen displays four strong interrupted dark brown patched axial body whorl bands. The shell shows excellent body symmetry and moderate weight. Collected off South Tangimoana-Manawatu Coast, New Zealand at low tide on sand flats in 6/1980. Procured from old collection. Original data slip included. The shell a thick lip, a chipped protoconch, modest nacre gloss of the aperture and palpable roughness pf the anterior lip and notch. Grade: F++/F+++. |
