| Note | A moderately-sized example of a well-known Australian classic volute. Intense color of the spire, perfect pattern with profound columellar plaits. The shell has brilliant nacre gloss, two impressive body whorl bands and bright bronze/coffee brown spire pigmentation. Collected in the intertidal zone on sand flat in a low water stream-let on the De Grey River outlet, Port Hedland, Western Australia. The shell show only some light dorsal lines. Grade: GEM minus. |
