| Note | Large, inflated and hyper-calloused member of this outstanding species. Brilliant color and reticulated pattern. Heavy shell, with thick calloused margins and beautiful dark spotting extending over the margins and peripheral base . A solid shell, like a little tank (74.6 grams). The shell has perfect extremities and a thick nacre gloss. Live collected by freediver at 8 meters off the Sheraton Hotel Point on rocks on the island of Maui, Hawaii in 10/1972. Original data slip included. The shell displays one transverse "V" growth crease on the mid-dorsum, colummellar side. Grade; F+++. |
