| Note | Outstanding giant example of this wonderfully patterned southern Indian Ocean subspecies form. This large specimen demonstrates a lovely primary color with intricate reticulated patterning, strong lateral wall spotting, prominent aperture teeth and a porcelainized-like base.The shell features excellent and consistent nacre gloss,Thick heavy tuberculated margins, perfect base and extremities with a faint varying multi-width dorsal line. The shell shows a strong size/weight ratio (86.5 grams). The specimen was harvested off Fort Daphne, Madagascar at 12 meters by Scuba diver nestled in a reef crevice circa 1980s.
