| Note | Superbly and generously tented, solid and remarkably glossy specimen with a balanced elongate robust body and perfect natural lip. The olive shell shows a desirable dark chocolate brown pigmentation/banding. Pattern markings exhibit a strong blend and distribution of lovely sharp tenting, particularly on the ventral body whorl, similar to a fine geometric painting and pyramid architectural designs from past civilizations (the Aztecs come to mind). The primary body whorl hue beams of exquisite pink/flesh tones. Captured in sand cruising at 8-12 meters by Scuba diver off Bahia San Carlos, Sea of Cortez, Sonora, Mexico circa 1982.The shell displays a shallow nick at the anal notch. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
