| Note | Unusually large, moderately solid, well nacred and elongate/pyriform formed specimen. The shell shows an angulate shoulder with a high stepped spire outline with a modest/ slight bending angle. Two beautiful body whorl bands painted in caramel brown/honey orange pigments with a merigold orange anterior ventral siphonal fasciole. The shell is highlighted by a violet aperture. The cone was trapped at 90-120 meters by trawler off Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, India at 100-120 meters in 2016.The shell has chips at the anal notch and and mini chipping along the thin natural lip including the anterior tip. Grade: F+++. |
