Note | The rare of the rare.,..... even advanced Zoila collectors dream of having one of these specimens on display in their collection. The elongated, oblong shell is light weight, seamless nacre gloss and sparse dorsal spotting that is a hallmark for this rarity. The shell exhibits perfect extremities, light basal spotting caressing the margins and a perfect protruding spire. Trawled in deep water off Southern Australia at 173 meters along with its favorite sponge. Collection date unknown. Although specimens are typically taken from the GBR off the Ceduna, West South Australia area, most current known specimens were typically collected in the middle 90s. Ex: Michael Zagrefakis collection. Beautiful specimen with a very faint short subnacre glazed crease on the anterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
