| Note | PINNIDAE - Atrina maura (Sowerby, 1835). DARK SPINY SELDOM SEEN SPECIES!! Dark glossy beauty with superb spines around. Hard to get species with good conditions as this one here. Lip intact. Some natural imperfections and absent spines as usual for the size and species, some cracks at the end of the anterior side not detracting the beauty. Very deep buried really hard to remove from mud and mangrove roots. F++-F+++. For real lovers of this wonderful Family. PINNIDAE - Atrina maura (Sowerby, 1835). Found buried between muddy sand and mangrove roots between 5-7m deep. La Vena, Los Angeles Locos, Bahia de Tenacatita, Jalisco, Mexico. May 2025.
