| Note | A superb giant specimen of the large, elongate, southern Western Australian form. Although this form is always dead-collected from craypots, the current specimen is of exemplary quality, exhibiting the beautiful living colour of pale pinkish orange, and, exceptionally, retention of the delicate apex, almost always lost upon examples of such size. Data: Off Augusta, South West Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate; 40-60 m; craypot; 1991. Size: 156.6 mm. Grading: Fine++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
