Note | An exceptional ultra-large specimen, of the finest possible quality for the species. Extremely rich colour. Beautiful dorsum: multitudinous, coalescent dark chestnut maculae, with honey-gold accents, in a pattern of the highest aesthetic merit. Extremely high margins, surmounted by distinct pale blue register. Spectacular deep yellow-orange ventrum. Hypermature: exceedingly thick shell walls; pronounced marginal and ventral callosity; remarkable overall weight. A standout eludens for the Zoila connoisseur. Data: Off western coast of South Muiron Island, Muiron Islands, Western Australia, Australia; upon limestone reef (sand/gravel-covered) substrate, upon sponge, (Caulispongia biflabellata Fromont, 1998); 23 m; diving; 2006.
