| Note | Collected during the ‘old days’ of Sri Lankan availability, this fabulous ultra-large specimen of the Sri Lankan form – the most beautiful incarnation of the species – exhibits the characteristic expansive varical structure, and markedly frondose varical terminations which characterise the form, and is of enormous size for this form. Yet, despite its advanced age and size, the specimen is of exceptional quality. Atypically subtle and beautiful colour. Very difficult to get this size and quality of this form. Data: Off Manayaveli, Trincomalee, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka; upon sand/mud substrate; 20-40 m; dredged; 1982. Size: 111.5 mm. Grading: Fine+++; w/o.
