| Note | Moderately calloused and low profile deep water specimen displaying a diffuse dorsal blotching pattern. This is complemented by a lightly pigmented grey/nude primary color and a modest cantaloupe/ tangerine supra-marginally color band radiating the lateral walls. The color band transitions to a mellow peach/nude colored tone sub-marginally. The langfordii has a deep glossy nacre, perfect tuberculated calloused extremities, displays notable rostration and modest body inflation. The shell was captured off Balut Island, Mindanao, Philippines by tangle net at 150 meters in 9/2019. The shell displays a light line on the columellar side and two small glazed concavities (might be fish bites, but we weren't there), one each of the mid-lateral walls. Grade: F++/F+++. |
