| Note | Here is an SUPER DARK example of this highly variable species of Zoila. SUPERB MOSTLY BLACK DORSUM has just a handful of paler windows breaking up the pattern. A strong BLUE HALO pushes up high on both margins, making for a SPECTACULAR SPECIMEN. Gem condition with no flaws that I can see. Live taken from a yellow encrusting sponge on the roof of a medium sized limestone overhang at 21m. Salmon Bay, SOuthern side of Rottnest Island, March 2025 |
