| Note | Inflated, mature, richly patterned and strongly nacred deep water, wonderfully haloed jeaniana classic. Superior strong dark dorsal blotch and peach/brown highlighted extremities with superb lateral wall spotting on apricot/flesh toned margins. This is a very appealing and elegant specimen. Modestly rostrated jeaniana with perfect extremities, aperture and the shell is a heavyweight at 58.3 grams. The striking shell exudes an impressive gloss and shades of russet/chocolate/chestnut brown accentuating the lovely base. Taken by Scuba divers Chandler and Du Ross north/northwest of Gnaraloo, Western Australia while feeding on a Geodia sponge at 40 meters circa late 90s. The white spots on the posterior base are not considered defects. Grade: GEM. |
