Note | Striking thalamega subspecies with a subtle smokey blue halo and superb nacre gloss. The shell has excellent weight, sharp contoured perfect extremities and an complex integrated mottled maculae dark dorsal pattern (42.0 grams). It displays a marvelous and meandering/diffuse dorsal line, flesh/apricot/brown tinted lateral walls with sparse and unique spotting. The shell displays thick modestly tuberculated margins with a gleaming black/brown base and well-developed aperture teeth on the labral side. The specimen was harvested by Scuba diver Daniel Edinger at 42 meters inside a purple sponge approximately 10 miles north of Kalbarri, Western Australia in 10/2006. The specimen displays a minor anterior ramp wobble, graded conservatively. Grade: GEM minus. |
