| Note | Large and significant marginata albanyensis with moderate rostration and excellent spotting of the margins and base. The specimen shows an excellent nacre, flawless extremities with notable/crisp flaring and tuberculation of the margins. The body is superbly inflated, shows a perfect wide aperture and wonderful marginata feature that is china-white. The shell was taken by Scuba diver at 25-35 meters off Albany, Western Australia in 2000. EX Collection Dr. Felix Lorenz. The shell exhibits mild and subtle dorsal growth lines on both dorsal ramps, typical of the subspecies. Grade: GEM minus. |
