| Note | Hard to find enormous and and highly sought after South Seas collectable. The large sized specimen features symmetrical morphology and a fantastic display of gracefully curved, elongated and wide-spread delicate spines. The shell demonstrates an intact protoconch, spire and strongly pumpkin orange-hued aperture. Excellent peach/ beige dorsal pattern and coloration of the body whorl. Collected by the late, great Scuba diver Paul Kanner on sand between rocks during night dive at 10-12 meters in Taioha'e Bay, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas, Central Pacific in 1/2007. Insignificant blemishes and a minor growth irregularity on the third posterior spine, that is intact, but has yet to develop a mature closed spine tip. NOTE: An additional 25 Euro will be added to the shipping cost, as it will protected and shipped in its own Pelican-type custom bullet-proof case. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
