| Note | Superb specimen with moderate pattern coloring and excellent morphological display of symmetry and balance. The specimen displays distinct patterning, intense on the ventral and lateral sides, striking violet color toned axial rings on the spire and modestly glossed body whorl. Heavy specimen with exceptional aperture coloring and gloss for the species (100.0 grams). Collected by diver at 23-25 meters on hard reef between grass and algae off Hospital Point, Guam, Western Pacific. The shell shows a "algae" mark on the posterior portion of the siphonal fasciole as seen in the central image. Grade: F+++. |
