| Note | Mini version of this desirable deep water cowrie. Super glossy and impressive bright marmalade/sandstone orange tinted exemplary shell with the wider bicallosa form. The specimen shows a dynamic display of symmetrical and superb balanced dorsal spotting, pronounced rostration with outstanding and pronounced black/brown radiating/extended lines wrapping the margins. The shell is inflated, semi-deltoidal and shows a moderate size/weight ratio at 11.5 grams. The strong rostration and spotting array make this a collectors choice specimen. Harvested by local fishermen off Balut Island, south Mindanao, Philippines using tangle nets at 150-200 meters in 2018. Grade: GEM. |
