| Note | Wonderfully wide/calloused specimen with an exceptional and aesthetic peppered dorsum pattern. The shell exudes with a richly colored and patterned base with a thick sparkling/glistening nacre. The shell demonstrates a high weight/size ratio (21.8 grams), significant corrugation of the thick, hyper-flared/calloused margins and profound rounded convexity of the base. The shell beams color with a stunning expresso brown maculae/botched base graced by honey orange/beige overtones. This is a exquisite specimen harvested by Scuba diver while lunching on a Geodia sponge at 42 meters on a low limestone reef off Bernier Island, Carnarvon, Western Australia in 2024. The specimen displays insignificant/subtle shallow lines on the dorsum. Grade: GEM minus. |
