| Note | Superbly and beautifully tented, solid and remarkably glossy specimen with a balanced elongate robust body and perfect natural lip (136.6 grams). The olive shell shows a desirable dark chocolate brown pigmentation/banding. Pattern markings exhibit a strong blend and distribution of lovely sharp tenting, particularly on the ventral body whorl. The primary body whorl hue beams of exquisite pink/flesh tones. Captured while plowing through sand/gravel substrate plowing at 10-15 meters by Scuba diver off Bahia San Carlos, Sea of Cortez, Sonora, Mexico circa 1994. The shell displays a subnacre growth disruption wobble posterior ventral body whorl as viwed in the upper left image. Grade: F+++. |
