|
| Item | # 0003867017 |
| Family | Fissurellidae |
| Name | Fissurella nigra - Rare, Hard to Obtain , R. P. Lesson, 1831 |
| Size | 72 mm |
| Locality | Maullín, Southern Chile |
| Note | One nice specimen of the surprisingly difficult-to-obtain species Fissurella nigra. This is an endemic species of central Chile and it is quite rare and hard to obtain. It only lives in rocky areas in central Chile. This specimen was collected alive and it has a nice very shiny white interior of the shell, but a perfect border with some tiny chips and a natural clean dorsum which has a single Scurria scar. A low initial price for an interesting and hard-to-obtain species endemic from Chile. |
