Note | Another dead taken specimen of this rare newly named species. Representative only, big size, heavy robust ,chunky shell has chips and holes but the protoconch is good . Good from a scientific perspective. I think it’s a pretty tough environment down in the 350meter mark of the Arufura sea. I suspect there’s some powerful predators down there giving these a rough time . Probably deep sea crabs. The photos indicate the condition of this shell. |
