Zuytdorpensis is a new form of ketyana described by Felix Lorenz and Marco Chiapponi. The description was published late in 2024 in Molluscan Science Volume 6.
In the area west of the Southern Zuytdorp Cliffs and to the east of Big Bank is a populated by dwarf rosselli and ketyana. This is northwest of Kalbarri. This form of ketyana we find in the same area as we collect praeclara off the southern Zuytdorp Cliffs. They are consistently small with pepper spotted dorsums and bases that vary a great deal in colour.
This pretty specimen was ROV collected from 77 meters of water west north west of Kalbarri during April 2024. It has a pinky/cream coloured dorsum with sparse tan pepper spots and rich gold and white base. Graded Fine++ / Fine+++ as it has a soft dorsal fold and two tiny nacre windows to the base. These can be seen in reflected light under magnification at the location indicated by the green arrow in the basal photo.
