Truly I have found this heavy and colossal size C. crassicostata inside a Octopus cave and remove the Periostracum. It takes me about 1 hours cleaning this. Do not expect a Gem perfect shell. this is coming with several natural damage in all the posterior side with several erosion and worm track, the anterior side is intact with elegant intact curved umbo, elegant axial undulated wide ribs with light pink and brownish pattern spot colors. Extremely thick massive and colossal lip. Classic Octopus drill hole between. F+-F++ . really rare species in huge size as representative in your collection. Found inside Octopus cave between muddy stones about 8-10m deep. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. July 2025. Value for this super seldom species in Mexico with huge giant size: 30-35 euros.
