| Note | This stunning mature kostini was ROV collected from a white funnel sponge in 142 metres of water south of Augusta.
Occasionally we find a kostini we can call a gold. This shell meets this criteria with no hint of tan in it's pigmentation. It has blotchy golden dorsal spots superimposed on a creamy apricot background and gold lateral spots and gold siphon trim. It has a rounded china white base.
Graded Fine+++/Gem- as it has a few very small teeth marks which have been re-glazed and healed, on its dorsum which can be seen in reflected light under magnification. |
