| Note | Gorgeous specimen with bright dorsal maculae and caffe latte/nude painted extremities. The shell displays remarkable deep nacre lustre, profound body inflation, thick margins with modest tubercules on the posterior margins, modest rostration of the anterior extremity and classic champagne brown mottled dorsal blotch and aurata coloring. The aurata shows a perfect sparkling soft yellow/porcelain white base with moderate to heavy lateral wall spotting on the labral aspect. A signature and classic Zoila specimen from the deep water. Harvested by Austraila trawlers at 100 meters plus off Point Maude, Western Australia in 1997. The shell displays one small, shallow, glazed and negligible crease on the mid-dorsum and another on the anterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
