| Note | Robust, inflated, moderately rostrated and highly nacred deep-water member of this diverse Western Australian species. The shell features one large/wide and subtle darker embryonic dorsal bands, beautiful beige/slight orange extremities complimented by beige/brown circumferential marginal spotting. The specimen exhibits an excellent nacre gloss, moderate weight/size ratio (48.0 grams), Impressive form and a yellow toned base with frosted toffee nude body color. Scuba diver captured at 65 meters on a granite wall hiding out in a cave off Mondrain Island, Recherche Archipelago, Esperance, Western Australia in 2006. EX: Felix Lorenz collection. The specimen includes original data tag from Felix. The shell presents with subtle wooble on the labral mid-dorsum and growth fold on the columellar posterior ramp. Grade: F+++. |
