| Note | Elegant super hyper-glazed darker specimen that exhibits outstanding elongate form with a striking display of robust patterning, accentuated by remarkable black lateral wall pigmentation and orange margin colors. A wondrous black/brown caramel fused mottled dorsal pattern with intense integrated maculae and a thick glossy nacre. The thick anterior and posterior margins show moderate tuberculation. The perfect black infused base colors complement the flawless margins, nearly perfect dorsum and moderate size/weight ratio (36.7 mg). Harvested by Scuba diver Daniel Edinger off Forrest Beach, Geograph Bay, Western Australia. The specimen was found at 2-5 meters while feeding on a yellow/green sponge (Chondrilla cf. australiensis), nested on a low lying limestone reef in 2/2016. Hand written slip by Daniel included. The anterior extremity has a subtle glazed mini-crease on the mid-ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
