| Note | Exceptionally thick and mature, hyper-nacred specimen from the black Edithburgh population. The specimen is accentuated by a blackish/brown color veil and a subtle dorsal line. The atrata displays remarkable symmetrical form and balance. Moderate weight/size ratio with a beautiful base pattern (39.8 grams). The dark and handsome specimen displays perfect siphons, hyper-black lateral walls and spotting on the columellar base and margin. The shell was nabbed by a roaming Scuba diver at 5-8 meters off Stansbury, Gulf of St. Vincent, South Australia in 2002. There is the slight glazed transverse crease on the dorsal anterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
