| Note | Moderately heavy shell, convex base, thick calloused margins with a striking mottled pattern with thick rounded margins and a high dorsal hump that characterize this standout beauty. Associated with this wonderful dark pattern with deep shades of yellow/gold/honey orange peaking through the dorsum. Beautifully thick, million dollar nacre gloss, with perfect extremities and dark marginal walls along with the enviable size make this an admirable collectors piece. The shell exhibits perfect extremities and modest marginal tuberculation. Collected by Scuba diver while dining on a sponge at 20 meters west of Onslow, near Exmouth Gulf, Western Australia. The shell was acquired from an older collection. EX: Marty Beals. The shell has a mini-nacre break dimple on the posterior columellar margin and a negligible wooble on the columellar anterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
