| Family | Cypraeidae |
| Name | Zoila marginata albanyensis f. nimbosa - RARE BLOTCH , Raybaudi 1994 |
| Size | 52.0 mm |
| Locality | Walpole, Western Australia |
| Note | Strong weight/size ratio specimen with perfect siphons and a rare tan/light brown columellar blotch that makes this a collectors pride shell (19.4 grams). The specimen shows excellent extremity flaring and tuberculation of the sharp margins. Moderate rostration and excellent base presentation with fluid marginal spotting highlight this beauty. The shell is morphologically impressive, symmetrically balanced and shows strong nacre shine. Picked off a Geodia species sponge nestled on a granite reef by Scuba diver John Coates at 55 meters off Walpole, Western Australia in 2006. Grade: GEM. |
