| Note | Large colorful specimen with exceptional and generous tenting. Both lateral wall views demonstrate the prevalence of dense tents fused over a dark-brown primary hued body whorl. The huge specimen shows admirable elongate form, natural lip and exhibits a moderate size to weight ratio (118.8 grams). The cone was taken at 8-10 meters by Scuba diver off Ste-Marie Island, Baie de Magenta, Nouméa, New Caledonia on sand under a dead coral slab circa 2010. The specimen shows a worn protoconch, slight chip on the anterior natural lip and several small areas of growth disruptions on the dorsal and ventral body whorl. Grade: F++/F+++. |
