| Note | Elongate and adorable specimen with clear and undulating symmetrical longitudinal pin-stripping. The volute shows a strong natural nacre gloss, thick natural lip, flawless apex and body whorl. Excellent example of this popular collectors volute. The shell was taken by collector Alice Monroe while hunting across the sand in shallow water during extreme low tide off Pretty Pools, Western Australia in the mid 80s. The ellioti reveals a minor mini-chip on the anterior notch and small area of white subnacre flecks on the lateral side of the spire above the shoulder: Grade: F+++. |
